Building an Organizational Culture

In the second section of “The Importance of Organizational Culture” article, Liz Ferron, Dr. Daniel J. Whitlock and Dr. Robert Stark discuss the steps that can be taken to close the gaps that were identified so physicians can build an organizational culture.

The steps they have identified are: defining culture, plan for change, institutionalize cultural attributes and changing behaviors and attitudes among physicians. You can read the full article in the March issue of AAOS Now.

The Importance of Organizational Culture

Liz Ferron, MSW, LICSW; Daniel J. Whitlock, MD, MBA; and Robert Stark, MD discuss the results of the recent organizational culture survey by Physician Wellness Services and Cejka Search in the February issue of AAOS Now.

The survey identifies attributes key to physician satisfaction including patient-centered care as the most important.  The article discusses the importance of culture and the implications of cultural fit. Solutions for building an organizational culture will be in the March issue of AAOS Now.

Managing Physician Stress and Burnout
